Dem senator asks constituents for Comey hearing questions
Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) asked his constituents Thursday for questions to ask former FBI Director James Comey at his newly announced hearing next week.
“I urge every West Virginian to send me your questions for Director Comey and I will do my best to ensure your questions are answered,” Manchin said in a statement posted on Twitter.
Manchin, a member of the Senate Intelligence panel who is expected to face a tough 2018 reelection in his deep-red state, added that he is responsible for representing his constituents.

The Senate Intelligence Committee announced Comey will testify next Thursday, June 8, at 10 a.m. about President Trump and the investigation into Russian election interference.
{mosads}Comey agreed to testify before the congressional panel about reports that Trump asked him to pledge his loyalty to him and to let go of his investigation into former White House national security adviser Michael Flynn.
Trump fired Comey last month amid an ongoing FBI probe into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russians during the presidential election, leading many to question Trump’s motivation for firing Comey.
Some GOP challengers have already announced bids for Manchin’s seat.
