Feinstein: Comey is not going to lie
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) on Sunday said she believes former FBI Director James Comey over President Trump.
“Well at this point I believe the FBI director. I know him the best. I’ve observed him the longest,” Feinstein told CNN’s “State of the Union.”
Comey testified under oath last week that Trump asked him to “let go” the investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn.
{mosads}Trump’s personal lawyer in a statement following Comey’s testimony said the president never directed or suggested the FBI head end any probe.
Feinstein argued that Comey would not lie about this subject.
“In this kind of thing, he’s not going to lie. He’s just not in it to do this,” she added.
