Feinstein: Sessions should come before Judiciary Committee
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said Sunday that Attorney General Jeff Sessions should testify in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee in addition to the Senate Intelligence Committee.
“I believe that the Judiciary Committee has the oversight responsibility for the Justice Department. And therefore it’s very fitting for the attorney general to appear there,” Feinstein told CNN’s “State of the Union.”
{mosads}Feinstein, who serves on both the Judiciary Committee and the Intelligence Committee, said she has written letters to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), chairman of the Judiciary Committee.
Feinstein’s comments come as Sessions prepares to testify this week in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee.
