Rubio, Ivanka Trump joke about their ‘alleged failed hug’
Sen. Marco Rubio (R) on Tuesday joked that he is “investigating” the issue after social media users mocked the Florida senator for a photo of his hug with first daughter Ivanka Trump.
“Just left Intel comm & informed meeting 2day with @IvankaTrump blowing up twitter over alleged failed hug! Investigating. Will respond soon,” Rubio tweeted.

Rubio mentioned having photographic evidence that would “shed greater details on this incident,” adding that he is trying to “acquire multi-angle video.” He shared another photo, saying it offered “more insight into alleged failed hug.”
He also called for others’s assistance, questioning whether anyone was filming during the interaction.
We believe we have our own unclassified photographic evidence that will shed greater details on this incident.

Rubio weighed in on the social media topic after an Associated Press reporter posted a photo of the GOP senator greeting the White House adviser at the Capitol on Tuesday for a meeting that included conversations about paid family leave.
There was no video accompanying the image, but Twitter users quickly poked fun at the awkward-looking photo.
