Top GOP senator: ObamaCare ‘sabotaged’ insurance market
Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) on Sunday said ObamaCare “sabotaged” the United States insurance markets for healthcare.
“ObamaCare has sabotaged the insurance market in the country,” Barrasso, the chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee, told “Fox News Sunday.”
{mosads}Barrasso argued that the previous administration’s signature healthcare legislation raised taxes for Americans, adding that the GOP in its effort to repeal and replace ObamaCare must work to stabilize the insurance markets.
Senate Republicans last week unveiled legislation to repeal and replace ObamaCare, which was met with criticism from both moderate and conservative lawmakers in the Republican Party.
Five Senate Republicans have said they will vote “no” on the bill as it currently stands.
