Dem senator celebrates collapse of ObamaCare repeal: ‘KEEP. IT. UP.’
Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) on Tuesday celebrated the collapse of the GOP’s last-ditch effort to repeal ObamaCare.
Murphy touted the GOP’s failure to achieve several of its top agenda items after it was announced that Senate Republicans would not hold a vote on the health-care bill.
“8 months in. No border wall. No trickle down tax cut. No health care repeal,” Murphy tweeted.
“KEEP. IT. UP.”

Senate Republicans decided earlier Tuesday to not vote on their latest ObamaCare repeal bill, signaling a collapse in their effort to kill off former President Barack Obama’s signature law.
The latest repeal bill, sponsored by Sens. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), would have dismantled ObamaCare’s insurer subsidy program and Medicaid expansion, converting funding for both into block grants for states.
Democrats have blasted each effort by the GOP to repeal ObamaCare. Last week, Murphy called President Trump’s claim that the latest repeal bill included protections for pre-existing conditions “a lie.”
The Connecticut Democrat also previously ripped Republicans for reportedly offering to make changes to their bill that would help Alaska, in order to gain the support of Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska).
“The outright purchasing of votes. Everyone involved in this moral and intellectual monstrosity should be ashamed of themselves,” Murphy tweeted last week.
