Feinstein mum on reelection bid: ‘You are going to find out about that very shortly’

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) in an interview that aired Sunday declined to say whether she was going to run for reelection.

“You are going to find out about that very shortly,” Feinstein said in an interview on NBC’s “Meet The Press.”

She was pressed on what she thinks of a recent poll that found 50 percent of California voters don’t think Feinstein should run for reelection.

{mosads}”Oh look. There are polls and then there are polls. I’m ready for a good fight,” she said.

“I’ve got things to fight for. I’m in a position where I can be effective, and hopefully that means something to California.”

The California Democrat added she is “close” to announcing her decision.

Feinstein faces possible challenges from the party’s left over her support for some of President Trump’s nominees and her refusal to endorse single-payer health care.
