Corker and Trump have publicly feuded over the past several weeks.
In a Tuesday morning interview, Corker warned that Trump is taking actions that could take the country on a “path to combat.”

“Really, when you look at the fact that we’ve got this issue in North Korea and the president continues to kneecap his diplomatic representative, the secretary of State, and really move him away from successful diplomatic negotiations with China, which is key to this, you’re taking us on a path to combat,” Corker said.
Trump then sent out a series of early morning tweets attacking the Tennessee Republican.
“Bob Corker, who helped President [Obama] give us the bad Iran Deal & couldn’t get elected dog catcher in Tennessee, is now fighting Tax Cuts,” Trump tweeted.
“Corker dropped out of the race in Tennesse when I refused to endorse him, and now is only negative on anything Trump. Look at his record!”
Corker announced earlier this year he does not plan to seek another term in 2018. Trump won Tennesse by 26 points in the 2016 presidential election.
Earlier this month, he referred to Trump’s White House as an “adult day care center” and warned that Trump’s actions could lead the country on a path to World War III.
