GOP senator brings popcorn for Trump meeting
Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) joked with reporters Tuesday that he was bringing popcorn to watch the feud between President Trump and Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) at a Senate GOP lunch.
Tillis tweeted a photo of himself getting popcorn out of a machine, with the caption, “Ready for lunch with POTUS and @SenateGOP.”

Trump is meeting Tuesday with Senate Republicans to discuss their push for tax reform, amid an escalating feud with Corker.
Corker, who is retiring at the end of his term next year, unloaded on Trump in interviews early Tuesday, accusing Trump of “debasing” the nation and predicting he was “not going to rise to the occasion as president.” Trump retaliated on Twitter, saying that Corker is retiring at the end of his term because he “couldn’t get elected dog catcher in Tennessee.”
When asked by Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto earlier Tuesday about whether Tillis anticipated any problems between Trump and Corker at the luncheon, Tillis joked that he was “going to bring some popcorn.”
