Moore adviser: Not even Trump could get Moore to drop Senate bid

An adviser to Roy Moore said the GOP candidate doesn’t plan to let anything force him out of the Alabama Senate race.

Senior campaign adviser Brett Doster was asked if Moore would leave the race if he was asked by President Trump.

“No. Nothing is getting him out. He’s not going anywhere,” Doster said, according to ABC News.

The comments come after a woman accused Moore of initiating sexual contact with her in 1979 when she was 14 and he was 32, according to a report in The Washington Post.

Moore has repeatedly denied the accusations, saying they are “completely false” and suggesting it is a smear campaign.

Since the allegations, multiple lawmakers have called for Moore to step aside if the reports are true.

During an event Sunday night, Moore said he does not plan to leave the race.

“We do not intend to let the Democrats, we do not intend to let the established Republicans, we do not intend to let anybody deter us from finishing this race,” Moore said during the event in Alabama.

“We fully expect the people of Alabama to see through this charade. And we will continue our efforts.”
