Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) said he knows he “crossed the line” for some women after multiple sexual misconduct allegations have been made against him.
“I’m someone who, you know, hugs people,” Franken said during an interview with Minnesota Public Radio.
{mosads}”I’ve learned from these stories that in some of these encounters I have crossed the line for some women.”
Franken also said during the interview he is planning to go forward and takes responsibility for his actions.
“I’m going to be held accountable, and I’m going to try to be productive in the way I speak about this,” he said.
Franken has been accused by multiple women of sexual misconduct.
Earlier this month, a woman alleged Franken groped and forcibly kissed her.
Other women have come forward alleging that Franken inappropriately touched them during photo ops.
Franken apologized for his behavior and said he would cooperate fully with an ethics investigation.
Multiple people have come forward in recent weeks with allegations of sexual misconduct against several public figures.
