GOP senator: Trump shouldn’t pardon Flynn
Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) said on Sunday that President Trump should not pardon his former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn after he pleaded guilty on Friday for lying to the FBI.
Scott said he agreed with his colleague Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who said that Trump should not pardon Flynn.
{mosads}”We have to have a way to restore confidence of the American people in their elected officials and the leaders of this country. One way that you do that is by helping those folks that are A, lying to the FBI — you hold those folks accountable, and B, you have a process that is clear and transparent,” Scott told CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union.”
“When the Intel Committee is finished, we’ll have the facts,” he added, referring to the Senate Intelligence Committee, which is conducting its own investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
“Mike Flynn broke the law, the FBI continues the investigation, and I think we’ll find out the truth … hopefully by the end of this year or early next year.”
Scott’s comments come after the president appeared to try to deflect attention from Flynn in a slew of tweets on Saturday, saying the focus should be on former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
So General Flynn lies to the FBI and his life is destroyed, while Crooked Hillary Clinton, on that now famous FBI holiday “interrogation” with no swearing in and no recording, lies many times…and nothing happens to her? Rigged system, or just a double standard?

Many people in our Country are asking what the “Justice” Department is going to do about the fact that totally Crooked Hillary, AFTER receiving a subpoena from the United States Congress, deleted and “acid washed” 33,000 Emails? No justice!
