Klobuchar mocks Trump for his pronunciation of Minneapolis
2020 Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) on Thursday mocked President Trump for the way he says “Minneapolis” while she visited the city.
“Please go back to ‘Mar-a-Lago.’ At least you can pronounce that,” Klobuchar tweeted. “Just another reason I can take this guy in the midwest.”

Klobuchar tweeted a video of Trump thanking Minneapolis police officers from the White House on Wednesday, pronouncing the city as what one reporter described as “Minneaonapolis.”
{mosads}Trump is set to hold a campaign rally on Thursday in the Midwestern city, where he is now openly feuding with the mayor over the $530,000 in costs associated with the event.
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (D) said Trump’s campaign would be on the hook for the more than half-million dollars in rally expenses. The president’s campaign responded by threatening a lawsuit, accusing the mayor of extortion and claiming Frey was attempting to restrict the First Amendment rights of the president and his supporters.
Thousands of protesters, as well as the infamous Trump “baby blimp,” are expected to greet Trump as he arrives for the rally.
