Actor and former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) is set to visit Michigan and Colorado to rally support for redistricting in the coming weeks.

“People see that things are not going right. Sometimes they express themselves by voting for outsiders,” Schwarzenegger told The Atlantic on Saturday regarding his drive to end partisan gerrymandering.

“When they see that doesn’t work, they look for the next thing, ‘What else can we fix?’ ”

Afterward, Schwarzenegger will travel to Colorado for a rally in support of a similar redistricting initiative.

“We all know this is not the sexiest subject in town,” Schwarzenegger told The Atlantic.

He has also been pushing for similar ballot initiatives in Utah and Missouri this year, the news outlet noted, but will not be visiting those two states.

“Everything you do is always a campaign,” he said Saturday. “It’s always about showing your passion and fighting for it. The worst thing you can do is sit on your couch.”

He used an analogy of a train, saying the most power is needed to start it.

“Then the momentum goes,” Schwarzenegger said. “Same as with this. It’s like a train—a massive, moving thing.”
