Louisiana lieutenant governor wears ‘Trump Socks’ to greet president during visit

The lieutenant governor of Louisiana on Tuesday put his best foot forward in greeting President Trump, donning socks featuring a depiction of the president’s face and hairstyle.

Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser (R) welcomed Trump upon the president’s arrival at Chennault International Airport in Lake Charles, Louisiana. New York Times photographer Doug Mills snapped and tweeted a photo of Nungesser lifting up his pant leg to reveal the socks, which have extra fabric to mimic Trump’s tuft of hair.
