Former President Trump is headed to Pittsburgh for the Steeler’s game against the Jets.
Burt Lauten, a spokesperson for the Steelers, said Trump will be a “guest of an individual suite holder.” He said the team was working with the Secret Service and security, NBC News reported.
The Steelers are encouraging fans to arrive early and head through normal security.
Trump recently attended the Alabama-Georgia football game with Republican lawmakers.
NBC News noted that both teams have political ties: Steelers President Art Rooney II is the son of Dan Rooney, who served as ambassador to Ireland during the Obama administration. Jets owner Woody Johnson served as ambassador to the U.K. under Trump.
Both Vice President Harris and Trump have campaigned largely in Pennsylvania. The state, with its 19 electoral votes, will be critical to Harris and Trump in the upcoming election.
According to The Hill/Decision Desk HQ, Harris is leading by about 2 percentage points in the state.
