Charlotte Bennett rips Cuomo: He didn’t apologize ‘for sexually harassing me’
Charlotte Bennett, a former aide of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), ripped the governor’s recent apology during a press conference after she came forward with allegations of sexual harassment.
“It’s not an apology, it’s not an issue of my feelings, it’s an issue of his actions,” Bennet said during an interview on CBS Evening News that aired Thursday.
“The fact is that he was sexually harassing me, and he has not apologized for sexually harassing me,” Bennet said. “And he can’t even use my name.”

The governor apologized on Wednesday after Bennett and two other women accused the governor of inappropriate behavior and what they alleged as sexually charged comments.
“I now understand that I acted in a way that made people feel uncomfortable. It was unintentional, and I truly and deeply apologize for it,” Cuomo said.
New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) is investigating the accusations against Cuomo, who on Wednesday rebuffed calls that he resign.
Bennet, 25, told The New York Times in an interview that Cuomo had asked her whether she would date older men and whether she believed in monogamy, while suggesting that he was open to having relationships with women in their 20s.
