Minneapolis shooting leaves 2 dead, 8 injured: police
Two people were killed and eight others were injured in a shooting Saturday in downtown Minneapolis, according to the city’s police department, the latest reported mass shooting this year.
The Minneapolis Police Department announced that of the injured victims, one man is in critical condition, while the others were being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Of the 10 victims, all are adults, 5 male & 5 female. Two deceased are male and 1 in critical is male. No further victims that we are aware of.

Shots were first fired at around 2 a.m. after what appeared to be a verbal confrontation.
Police are still investigating the incident but said that order has been restored to the scene and surrounding area.
The names of the victims were not immediately available Saturday, according to authorities.
The shootings follow other incidents in the past year in places like Atlanta, Boulder, Colo., Indianapolis and more in a surge in mass shootings after a pause during the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.
The Congressional Research Service defines mass shootings as incidents involving four or more victims.
