Woman shot in face, 7 injured in New Orleans shooting
A shooting in New Orleans early Sunday has left seven people injured and one woman in critical condition after she was shot in the face.
Police in New Orleans said in a statement that the seven other victims were listed “in stable condition or as having received graze wounds.”
“All victims transported to local hospitals, one of which via EMS. That victim, identified as a female, is currently listed in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the face,” the department said.
The remaining victims arrived via private conveyance to local hospitals and are listed either in stable condition or as having received graze wounds.

The shooting took place near Interstate 10 in the eastern half of New Orleans.
Further details about the shooting were not provided by the department, and no suspects were identified. The Hill has reached out to New Orleans police for further information.
Local New Orleans NBC affiliate WDSU noted that this is the fifth mass shooting to take place in New Orleans this year. So far, two people have been killed and 25 others injured in the shootings. Louisiana police have reported 15 mass shootings in the state this year, with nine people killed and 75 injured.
