Evacuations ordered after Illinois chemical plant explodes
Local authorities are asking residents to evacuate after a chemical plant exploded in Illinois, Fox-affiliate WQRF reported.
A fire began at the Chemtool Incorporated facility early Monday morning following the explosion. Fire officials began to order individuals who live in a one-mile radius from the Chemtool Incorporated facility to evacuate from the area.
Chemtool Incorporated, which is located in Rockton, Ill., manufactures fluids, lubricants and grease products for other providers worldwide.

A local middle school in the area has been set up as an immediate evacuation shelter as well.
