Three killed in Kenosha shooting
Three people were killed and two were injured after a shooting late Tuesday night in Wisconsin.
Police in Kenosha responded to a 911 call of “unintelligible screaming” on Tuesday night. When officers arrived at the home, three victims were dead and two others were injured, according to a statement the Kenosha Police Department tweeted Wednesday.
Local police said they believed the suspect was one of the people who died. They also said the incident appeared to be domestic violence-related.
The two people who sustained injuries, including a 35-year-old woman and a 14-year-old male, were in critical condition and taken to the hospital on Tuesday, the statement said.
The people who suffered fatal injuries included an 18-year-old woman and a 17-year-old male. The 24-year-old male suspect also died at the scene.
“A tragedy like this is beyond comprehension,” Kenosha Police Chief Eric Larsen said in the statement.

“As a community, we are shocked and saddened by this senseless loss of life,” Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian said in the statement.
The mayor also noted that two-thirds of Kenosha’s homicides this year have been the result of domestic violence.
“The current hardships people are facing-including the pandemic-seems to have escalated conflict in some households,” Antaramian added.
The statement noted that investigators were still at the scene and were likely to remain there throughout the day on Wednesday.
