Crist open to Trump’s tariff on companies moving jobs abroad
Rep.-elect Charlie Crist (D-Fla.) said Sunday that he is open to President-elect Donald Trump’s proposal for a 35 percent tariff on businesses that move jobs abroad.
“It’s all about jobs and making sure that we have American jobs protected, we protect the American worker, give them the opportunity to be able to provide for their families, get a college education,” Crist told CNN’s “State of the Union.”
Crist, a former Republican who was recently elected to Congress as a Democrat, emphasized the need for an open-minded approach to the incoming administration.
