Scaramucci: Russia ‘situation’ is ‘overblown’
Incoming White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci said on Sunday that the Russia “situation” has been “overblown,” and the White House is looking to “de-escalate” it.
“We certainly want to de-escalate things,” Scaramucci told Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday.” “I think the Russian situation is overblown.”
{mosads}Scaramucci went on to address reports saying President Trump and his legal team are exploring ways he could potentially pardon himself and those close to him in regards to the ongoing probe into alleged collusion between his campaign and Russia.
“[Trump] says he doesn’t have to be pardoned. There’s nobody around who has to be pardoned. He was just making the statement about the power to pardon. So now all of the speculation and all of the spin is ‘he’s going to pardon himself’ and all of this other nonsense. The president does not need to pardon himself, and the reason he doesn’t have to pardon himself is because he hasn’t done anything wrong,” Scaramucci said.
“We can microanalyze every one of the president’s tweets, that’s fine, we can go in that direction, but what I want to do for people is get it back on the president’s agenda,” he said.
Trump on Saturday said “all” agree that he has “complete power to pardon” in a tweet blasting leaks in his administration.
While all agree the U. S. President has the complete power to pardon, why think of that when only crime so far is LEAKS against us.FAKE NEWS

Scaramucci’s comments on Sunday come amid a series of bombshell revelations surrounding the Russia probe.
The administration said Trump pressed Russian President Vladimir Putin on the issue of Russian election interference, however the two appeared to have friendly interactions at the G-20 summit in July.
