Houston mayor: Trump meeting ‘very productive’
Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner (D) on Sunday said he had a “very productive meeting” with President Trump about immediate recovery efforts needed in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.
During an interview with CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Turner said his city needs both
“rapid repair housing” and “advance funding for debris removal.”

Turner said he asked the president “to expand the rapid repair housing program for 15,000 up to 35,000.”
Trump has visited the Lone Star State twice since Harvey first struck the Gulf Coast.
The president met with evacuees and volunteers in Houston on Saturday after an initial trip to Corpus Christi and Austin.
