Parkland father: Trump listened to my suggestions at White House

The father of one of the students killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School last month said on Sunday that President Trump listened to his suggestions when he traveled to the White House.

Andrew Pollack, whose daughter, Meadow Pollack, was one of 17 people killed in the high school shooting in Parkland, Fla., said he went to the White House twice.

{mosads}“There’s not much anyone’s going to say that’s going to make anything better for me,” Pollack told CBS’s “Face the Nation.”

“But he listened to things and suggestions that I had and what we’re working on in Florida,” Pollack said of the president.

Pollack during the interview also pushed the concept of school safety following the shooting. 

“I’m not leaving it up to the president,” he said. “I’m taking it in my hands with a lot of people behind me and we’re going to focus on school safety.”
