Chuck Todd presses Giuliani on whether Trump is ‘truthful’
NBC host Chuck Todd on Sunday pressed President Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, over whether he believes Trump is “truthful.”
“Do you represent the most truthful client you’ve ever had in Donald Trump?” Todd asked Giuliani during an interview Sunday on “Meet the Press.”
{mosads}”I represent probably the most important client I’ve ever had with regard to the future of the United States, yes, because he’s been a great president,” Giuliani responded.
Todd then asked a second time whether Giuliani believes the president to be truthful.
“I believe he’s truthful, yeah, as much as he can be in a world in which every single word you say is picked apart,” he said.

Todd’s questioning came after last week’s release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report, which detailed several cases in which Trump or his allies misled the public.
A poll released by Quinnipiac University early last month found that more than six in 10 American voters polled say Trump is not an honest person.
The poll, found that 65 percent of respondents said they believe Trump is dishonest, a new high, while just 30 percent said that they thought the president is honest.
