Ronna McDaniel, the chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC), warned during an interview on Sunday of the most “progressive, radical takeover of our country” if Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden wins in November.
“What we do know is that it will be the most progressive, radical takeover of our country if Joe Biden and [Sen.] Kamala Harris [D-Calif.] get in, especially if they fundamentally transform that third branch of government,” McDaniel said on “Fox News Sunday,” referring to the Supreme Court
Her remarks came when McDaniel was asked about President Trump’s attacks on the former vice president for saying that he would “transition away from oil.”
McDaniel told host Chris Wallace that Biden is “saying whatever it takes, and he’s lying to the American people.”
“When he’s in Pennsylvania, he’s for fracking, when he’s outside of Pennsylvania, he’s against fracking,” she added.
During the final presidential debate last Thursday, Biden said he would “transition away from oil” when asked about his climate plan.
Trump was eager to hit back. “Will you remember that Texas? Will you remember that, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma?” Trump said at the time.
McDaniel further said on Sunday that Biden is trying not to be transparent and preventing people from knowing how he’ll govern.
McDaniel also criticized the media for not investigating claims that Biden was getting money from foreign governments.
“I think that’s incumbent upon the press to start investigating.” She said the emails were “deeply troubling,” and warrant an investigation.
