Ohio sheriff suggests using ‘Mother Of All Bombs’ on Mexican cartels

An Ohio sheriff suggested Friday that the United States could use the “Mother Of All Bombs” to combat Mexican drug cartels.

“I have been saying this for 10 years. Enough is enough. This Moab can b used on Mexican drug cartel. These are good days ahead,” tweeted Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones.
The GBU-43 MOAB, officially the Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb, was introduced in 2008 as the highest yield non-nuclear weapon in the Pentagon’s arsenal.

The bomb made news this week when it was used for the first time in combat when U.S. forces dropped one on Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) fighters hiding in a cave system in Afghanistan.

Jones celebrated the Trump administration’s strike Thursday, tweeting, “The U.S. A. Is back.”

In March, Jones sent a letter to President Trump asking for federal immigration agents to go to Butler County, Ohio.

“The American citizens are tired of dealing with this issue, tired of hearing on the news how an illegal immigrant commits a crime here and just gets to return home,” read the letter.

And in 2014, Jones gained some notoriety when he appeared on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” in a segment about immigration.

In that segment, Jones told “Daily Show” correspondent Al Madrigal that he believed undocumented immigrants receive “free stuff” in the United States.

“They get a new computer. They get their car payments. They get their house payments. They get free medical care,” said Jones.
