The Bethesda-based real estate development firm ​Stonebridge Associates hired ArentFox Schiff LLP to lobby on the utilization of D.C. properties by the federal government. The lobbyist on the account is Jon ​Bouker, former chief counsel and legislative director to Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.).

Tax 

The ​Managed Funds Association, the alternative asset management industry trade association, hired Invariant to lobby on tax issues. One of the lobbyists on the account is James ​O’Brien, who until last year was a staffer on the House Ways and Means Committee, the top tax writing panel in the lower chamber.

Science

Care Weather Technologies tapped Taylor Jordan at Innovative Federal Strategies to lobby on issues related to weather forecasting and satellites. Jordan is a former senior policy advisor to the Administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and previously worked on environmental policy and oversight on the House Science, Space and Technology Committee.

Technology

The TV service and internet provider ​Cogeco U.S. Finance retained former Rep. Ryan Costello (R-Pa.) of Ryan Costello Strategies to lobby on issues related to the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) and the Broadband Equity Access and Deployment Program (BEAD) as well as legislative responses to Federal Communications Commission decisions. When Costello was in Congress, he was a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee including subcommittees on communications and technology.

Defense

Divergent Technologies hired MZ Advising to lobby on issues related to defense appropriations and the annual defense authorization bill. The lobbyist on the account is Megan ​Zavertnik, who was previously a national security advisor in the Senate and a legislative director and military legislative assistant in the House.
