Lobbying World: American Investment Council adds McCarthy, Scalise alum

The American Investment Council has hired Will Dunham as senior vice president of government affairs. Dunham joins from legal and lobbying giant Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, and he was previously policy director for former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and the executive director to the Republican Study Committee under now-House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.).

Allison Dembeck is joining Save the Children U.S. as head of policy. She was most recently vice president of education and labor advocacy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Celia Glassman is joining the American Israel Public Affairs Committee as deputy director of policy and government affairs. She was most recently assistant director for legislative and regulatory policy at Ernst & Young and spent more than five years on Capitol Hill.

Sarah Ladislaw has rejoined RMI as managing director for the U.S. program. She was most recently senior director for climate and energy on the White House National Security Council.

Mark Seidman has joined Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP as a partner in the firm’s antitrust practice. He was previously head of the Federal Trade Commission’s Mergers IV Division.


The American Clean Power Association has added Brent Panzenhagen as chief financial officer and senior vice president of finance. Panzenhagen was most recently vice president of finance and controller at the National Association of Broadcasters.

Sameera Fazili has joined the Economic Speakers Bureau, an initiative of the progressive Groundwork Collaborative, as an expert. Fazili is the former deputy director of the White House National Economic Council.
