Fox Business beats CNBC in October viewers
Fox Business Network posted its first win over rival CNBC in total viewers for the month of October.
Overall, FBN averaged 170,000 total viewers versus 164,000 for CNBC for business days. It marks the most-watched month ever for the 9-year-old network.
CNBC, however, won in the key 25-54 demographic that advertisers covet most, registering 33,000 viewers against 22,000 for Fox Business.
FBN — which has covered the election heavily — got a bump on the total viewers front from the two presidential debates and one vice presidential debate that took place in October.
Fox Business topped CNBC for the second and third presidential debates among total viewers, but CNBC still won the race for younger viewers on those evenings.
