Former MSNBC host Alex Wagner is joining CBS News.
{mosads}Wagner, 38, will be a CBS News correspondent and a co-host of “CBS This Morning: Saturday.”
“I’ve been a diehard CBS viewer since birth — literally. I couldn’t be more honored or more excited to join the CBS family,” said Wagner.
“I’m greatly looking forward to covering stories from every corner of the news universe, and can’t wait to get started on Saturday.”
The Brown University graduate will also appear on the network’s popular digital platform, CBSN.
“Throughout her career, Alex has demonstrated a gift for communicating challenging topics in ways that readers and television viewers appreciate,” said Ryan Kadro, executive producer of “CBS This Morning.”
“She is a gifted journalist who brings an energy and passion to her work. She will thrive on this program where we cover everything from breaking news to the latest societal and cultural trends.”
Wagner was the host of MSNBC’s afternoon opinion program “Now” from 2014 to 2015.
