CNN to present town halls with Paul Ryan, Bernie Sanders
CNN will present two prime-time town halls next week featuring Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), respectively.
The Sanders special, hosted by CNN “New Day” host Chris Cuomo, will be held at George Washington University on Jan. 9 at 9 p.m. ET.
A network press release states Sanders “will take questions on major issues facing the nation and will discuss the Democratic strategy for dealing with Trump’s administration.”
{mosads}Ryan, who was reelected as Speaker on Tuesday, will sit down with CNN’s Jake Tapper, host of “The Lead” and “State of the Union,” at George Washington University.
The network says topics will include ObamaCare, President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet nominees and Russia’s alleged interference in the 2016 presidential election.
The Ryan town hall will air on Thursday Jan. 12 at 9 p.m. ET.
