Coming soon to the US: A new 24-hour news network
A new 24-hour cable news channel is coming to the U.S. next month.
I24 News, which is currently operating in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, will launch Feb. 13 in the U.S. It will be headquartered in New York and have a bureau in Washington.
The U.S. version will be carried on cable systems owned by Altice USA, a division of Altice NV based in the Netherlands. Altice acquired U.S. cable giant Cablevision Systems for $10 billion in 2016.

I24 News currently has more than 250 journalists, according to the company. Altice says the U.S. edition will staff approximately 50 people.
More details on specific programming and talent hires will be coming in the next few weeks leading up to the launch, according to the company.
