Halperin rejoins NBC News, MSNBC

Mark Halperin, a regular on “Morning Joe,” is rejoining MSNBC and NBC News as a senior political analyst.

The 52-year-old Harvard graduate had co-hosted “With All Due Respect” on Bloomberg TV with John Heilemann. The political analysis show also aired on MSNBC.

Bloomberg announced plans to cancel the program after the 2016 election.

Halperin also served as managing editor of Bloomberg Politics.

{mosads}In addition to “Morning Joe” and other MSNBC programs, Halperin will also appear regularly on NBC’s “Today Show.”

Halperin was named senior political analyst for the networks in 2010 before going to Bloomberg. During his time at Bloomberg, he continued to appear on MSNBC in a guest capacity.

Halperin leapt onto the national political scene after co-authoring the New York Times bestseller on the 2008 presidential election, “Game Change.”

Earlier this week, Showtime announced it ordered a second season of Halperin and Heilemann’s political documentary series, “The Circus: Inside the Greatest Political Show on Earth.”

It will return March 19, at 8 p.m. Eastern and will break down President Trump’s first 100 days in office, according to the network.
