Brzezinski: Trump team ‘doesn’t realize Rome is burning’
President Trump “knows he messed up” by accusing former President Barack Obama of wiretapping Trump Tower, MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski said Tuesday morning.
“I have some reporting talking to a few people who are either close to the White House or inside it that the president actually knows he messed up and won’t admit it, just refuses to admit it,” the “Morning Joe” co-host said on air.
“Everyone in that inner cadre … they’re so busy trying to either save their hides or get each others’ jobs that they don’t realize Rome is burning.”
Trump pushed back on reports of infighting in his administration in a Tuesday morning tweet.
Don’t let the FAKE NEWS tell you that there is big infighting in the Trump Admin. We are getting along great, and getting major things done!

{mosads}Brzezinski, the daughter of former President Jimmy Carter’s national security adviser, Zbigniew Brzezinski, on Monday fought back tears as she argued that the Trump administration is pushing “an extremely dangerous agenda.”
“This is not funny,” Brzezinski said Monday. “This is really bad.
“Just for the record, we are all really nervous. So if people out there feel nervous, we do too. We don’t think this is funny. They are pushing a very dangerous agenda. An extremely dangerous one.”
Trump on Saturday morning accused Obama of wiretapping Trump Tower during last year’s presidential race. Trump cited no evidence in his claims, which came in a series of early morning tweets.
