Trump stops following Scarborough, Brzezinski on Twitter

President Trump has stopped following MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski on Twitter, reducing the number of accounts the president is following from 43 to 41.

The removal, first noted by Death and Taxes, comes after scathing criticism by the “Morning Joe” co-hosts, including Scarborough calling Trump “a fake president” and Brzezinski almost being reduced to tears on air when speaking about the president.

“I had hope and an open mind. I have lost hope completely and my mind is closed,” Brzezinski said earlier this month. “This presidency is fake and failed.”

{mosads}Scarborough and Brzezinski were accused of being too supportive of Trump during most of the campaign as the billionaire candidate called into the program on multiple occasions. Trump has not appeared on “Morning Joe” since May 2016, however.

As recently as New Year’s Eve, the longtime MSNBC duo appeared to be in Trump’s good graces. They were seen at a party at the president’s Mar-a-Logo resort in Florida. Scarborough said he and Brzezinski were there to talk to Trump about doing an interview on their show.

Trump still follows some media members, including Laura Ingraham, Piers Morgan, Geraldo Rivera, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Eric Bolling, Mark Burnett, Bill O’Reilly and Greta Van Susteren.
