Chris Cillizza jumps from Washington Post and MSNBC to CNN
Chris Cillizza is leaving The Washington Post and MSNBC to join CNN as a political reporter and digital editor-at-large.
Cillizza, who has been at the Post since 2005, authors “The Fix,” a popular political blog. He was also an MSNBC contributor.

Washington Post editor Marty Baron said “The Fix” will continue at the paper after Cilizza’s departure.
“We’re grateful to Chris for all his excellent work at The Post and for creating The Fix, an innovative approach to political coverage in the digital era,” Baron said in a statement. “We’re sorry to lose him. The Fix is blessed with an exceptionally talented team of reporters, and it will remain a central component of The Post’s political coverage. We wish Chris the very best in his new role.”
{mosads}Cillizza, a 41-year-old Georgetown graduate who has more than 450,000 followers on Twitter, starts at CNN on April 3. Politico first reported his departure from the Post.
CNN has hired several Washington Post writers as contributors recently, including David Fahrenthold and Wesley Lowery, as the network bulks up its political coverage in the Trump era.
