NY Times’ Haberman, Thrush to author book on Trump presidency

New York Times White House correspondents Maggie Haberman and Glenn Thrush have signed on to write a book chronicling “the first years” of the Trump presidency, according to a Tuesday announcement by Random House.

The New York-based publisher revealed that the untitled book will be “about the first years of the Trump administration, a comprehensive, deeply reported look at a history-making president.”

Haberman and Thrush both came to The New York Times to cover the White House after years of serving as political reporters at Politico.

Haberman joined the Times in 2015, while Thrush made the jump earlier this year in January.
Thrush has authored one book, “Obama’s Last Stand” about former President Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign. {mosads}

Haberman also has one book to her credit, “Held Captive: The Kidnapping and Rescue of Elizabeth Smart,” which she co-authored with Jeane MacIntosh.

Haberman also became a CNN contributor in 2014. Thrush signed on with MSNBC in the same capacity in May.

No release date or terms of the book deal have been announced.
