It’s Wednesday. 🎵“At the Marriott, googling Domingo. Just to make sure he’s not psycho.”🎵 This viral SNL song will live in my head rent-free for years. Here’s what else is happening today: - Harris will appear on Fox News at 6 p.m. EDT today.
- Trump is doing two town halls today, one with women and the other with Latinos.
-
CNN reports that Trump will visit a McDonald’s this weekend to “work the frycooker.” 👀
- Storm misinformation is causing a lot of disagreement within the GOP.
-
A women’s soccer team is launching in Boston and the ad is … well … just watch it.

Kamala Harris, unleashed:
|
Vice President Harris will sit down with Fox News’s Bret Baier later today for her first interview on the network.
It comes with some risk: Fox News is not considered a friendly spot for the Democratic presidential nominee. But as The Hill’s Alex Gangitano and Brett Samuels report, she’s willing to take some risks in the final weeks of the campaign. Harris is also reportedly considering an appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast, a libertarian-leaning host who is known for his freewheeling style and past compliments of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. She’s hoping to grab the spotlight: “The Fox interview also comes as her campaign highlighted the contrast between her willingness to do difficult interviews with Trump’s approach in recent weeks of speaking mainly with friendlier audiences. Trump backed out of a ‘60 Minutes’ interview and scrapped an appearance on CNBC’s ‘Squawk Box.’”
What to expect in today’s Fox interview: Expect minimal editing and a wide range of policy areas. It will air at 6 p.m. 💡 Why this matters: Harris’s recent media appearances have been hyper focused on targeting specific demographics. Today, she’s hoping to court moderate Republican voters. Appearing on Fox News is a great way to do that. And even more importantly, this is a strategy to combat Republican attacks that she hasn’t done many interviews.
This likely won’t turn many Republicans into Harris voters, but … : As The Hill’s Niall Stanage points out, “If the vice president were even to win 1 [Nikki Haley] voter in 10 to her side, that could prove vital.”

This will forever be known as ‘The Interview’: |
Vice President Harris sat down with popular radio host Charlamagne tha God on Tuesday to connect with Black voters.
Timing: Harris released her “Opportunity Agenda for Black Men” on Monday.
This was an interesting moment: A caller asked Harris why she’s reaching out to Black male voters now. She argued that it’s not new. “This is about a long-standing commitment,” she responded, “including the work that I’ve done as vice president and before, when I was senator.”
Harris’s message to Black voters: When asked about the lack of enthusiasm from Black men, she took a very different tone from former President Obama. Obama had a stern message to Black male voters, encouraging them to step it up for Harris. However, Harris took a gentler approach, arguing she has to “earn every vote.”

What’s in the water in Georgia? Every state could use some of it: |
Early voting opened Tuesday in Georgia, and an eye-catching 328,000 ballots were cast in just one day.
This obviously broke the record: Gabriel Sterling, the chief operating officer of Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s (R) office, noted that the previous record was “set in 2020 when 136,000 people opted to vote early.” |

➤ BRINGING IN MRS. AMERICANA: |
Former first lady Michelle Obama will headline an Oct. 29 get-out-the-vote rally in Atlanta. It’s a nonpartisan initiative, but Obama spoke at August’s Democratic National Convention, so there’s no question about whom she’s supporting. |

If anyone needs me Sunday, I’ll be watching this with my undivided attention: CNN’s Kristen Holmes reports that “Former President Donald Trump is expected to visit a McDonald’s Sunday in Pennsylvania and ‘work the fry cooker’, a source familiar with the matter tells CNN. This comes up as Trump has repeatedly claimed Vice President Kamala Harris never actually worked at McDonald’s.”
I trust anything that Maggie Haberman reports: Maggie Haberman, senior correspondent for The New York Times, said that she believes Trump has gotten “more incoherent” throughout the campaign.
Haberman told CNN’s “The Source”: “We are used to seeing him have a discursive speaking style, but it has gotten more rambling. It has gotten more incoherent, and it’s gotten longer.” |

Nothing is safe from politics anymore: |
|
|
“Republicans representing states hit by hurricanes Helene and Milton are grappling with the spread of storm misinformation, much of which has stemmed from prominent figures in their own party — including sitting lawmakers and former President Trump,” reports The Hill’s Mychael Schnell and Emily Brooks.
What misinformation?: “The false claims have run rampant on social media since the deadly pair of storms made their way through parts of the Southeast — most notably Florida and North Carolina — with Republicans floating inaccurate allegations about the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), disaster relief and the weather.”
What about Republicans in states affected by the hurricanes?: “Some House GOP lawmakers who hail from hard-hit states have publicly pushed back on the misinformation, highlighting divisions in the Republican Party with less than a month to go until Election Day.” |

What to expect: Companies will have to make it just as easy to cancel as it is to sign up. It will go into effect 180 days after it is published in the Federal Register. |
