House passes cuts for climate programs

A program from the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) that givesrebates to consumers who purchase electric appliances
An IRA program that looks to helpstates and citiesadopt climate-friendly building codes
A large chunk of funding from the Energy Department’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy.
On the other hand, it boosts spending by about 8 percent at the Energy Department’s nuclear weapons agency.
