Hackers take down Sony PlayStation online store
Hackers took down Sony’s online PlayStation store late Sunday, according to multiple reports, the latest attack on the company.
As of mid-morning on Monday, the site was still inaccessible.

A group that goes by the name “Lizard Squad” claimed responsibility on Twitter.
According to the BBC, the group previously said it was behind a number of attacks on video game systems, online games and gaming companies, including a hack that took down Microsoft’s Xbox network last week.
The PlayStation attack also comes weeks after a major cyber offensive brought down the entire computer network of Sony’s movie studio.
There’s no indication yet the two attacks are connected.
A group going by “Guardians of Peace” claimed it was behind the Sony Pictures hack, but little is known about that group’s origins.
Some researchers believe the hackers are tied to the North Korean government, which has threatened retaliation for Sony’s upcoming comedy “The Interview,” about a CIA plot to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Others think the evidence connecting the two is thin at best.
The North Korean government on Sunday denied its involvement in the attack, but also praised the action as a “righteous deed.”
