Taylor Swift shakes off Twitter hack

Chart-topping pop star Taylor Swift’s Twitter account was hacked around noon on Tuesday, the singer confirmed on Tumblr.

According to screenshots taken by Twitter users, Swift’s account started tweeting out odd statements such as: “go follow my boy @lizzard :)”

{mosads}The Twitter handle in question linked to a user claiming to be a “leader of Lizard Squad,” the hacking group behind repeated hacks of Sony’s PlayStation Network and Microsoft’s Xbox system.

On her Tumblr account, Swift posted a brief message with the headline, “Well, now I’m awake.”

“My Twitter got hacked but don’t worry, Twitter is deleting the hacker tweets and locking my account until they can figure out how this happened and get me new passwords. Never a dull moment.”

The country-pop singer signed off with the hashtag, “#HACKERS GONNA HACK HACK HACK HACK HACK,” a reference to a line from her recent hit, “Shake It Off:” “Haters gonna hate hate hate hate hate.”
