State Department experiences email outage
The State Department experienced an email outage on Friday.
A State Department official confirmed early Friday afternoon that the department was experiencing a “system-wide” outage of the its unclassified email system.
Separately, a source told The Hill that internal email at the department was down as of Friday morning.
“The State Department is experiencing a system-wide unclassified email outage,” a department official said. “We are working to restore service as soon as possible. Other communication systems are available and being used.”
Various news outlets reported the outage Friday morning.
