Two NATO troops killed in Afghanistan

Two NATO troops were killed in Afghanistan in separate attacks on Monday.

{mosads}The International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said in a statement Monday that one NATO service member was killed in the eastern part of the country after coming under enemy fire, while another was killed in an enemy attack in southern Afghanistan.

The ISAF did not provide the nationality of the slain service members or any additional details on the two attacks.

The soldiers’ deaths come a week after six U.S. troops were killed in a helicopter crash in southern Afghanistan.

The UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter crash occurred in the Zabul Province in southern Afghanistan.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for shooting down the helicopter, but ISAF officials said there was no enemy activity in the area at the time of the incident.
