Former Navy SEALs found dead on ship featured in movie

Two former Navy SEALs were found dead aboard a container ship in the Indian Ocean that was featured in the movie “Captain Phillips.”

{mosads}Virginia television station WAVY reported that the two former SEALs were found dead Tuesday aboard the Maersk Alabama, which was docked at a port in Seychelles, a small island north of Madagascar.

The men, Jeffery Reynolds and Mark Kennedy, worked for the Trident Security Firm based in Virginia Beach, Va., and were part of a crew that arrived at the port Sunday, according to WAVY.

The movie “Captain Phillips” portrayed the story of when pirates hijacked the ship off the coast of Somalia in 2009.

A State Department spokeswoman said that an investigation had been opened into the incident.
