Anti-NATO protesters target Boeing

{mosads}”We started today out at Boeing’s international
headquarters. They’ve been making millions and millions of dollars off
taxpayers,” the protest’s leader Matthew McLouglin told the crowd,
according to the Chicago
Tribune
. “They’ve been making money harming people all over the world.”

After protesting outside of Boeing, the crowd then went to
President Obama’s reelection headquarters in Chicago.

The protests are occurring as world leaders are in Chicago
for the NATO summit — which concludes Monday — where they are finalizing
withdrawal and post-war plans in Afghanistan.

There have been protests throughout the two-day summit,
which while mostly peaceful, has seen some
violence
occur.

Boeing was a target because of its military contracts.
A Boeing spokesman told Reuters that its 500 workers in Chicago were urged to work
remotely from home on Monday.
