Israeli embassy trolls White House

Israel’s embassy to the United States is chiding the Obama administration’s decision to remove Cuba from the list of state sponsors of terrorism by highlighting that Iran remains on the roster.

The diplomatic post sent out a tweet that said “Now reading // State Sponsors of Terrorism” by the State Department and included a link to the agency’s document, emphasizing in yellow that Iran was added on Jan. 19, 1984.

{mosads}The social media hit comes a week after the White House took a shot at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by using a cartoon bomb to defend its nuclear deal with Iran.

The administration later defended its trolling of the foreign leader.

The online broadside also coincided with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee unanimously approving compromise legislation that would give Congress a say on a final agreement with Tehran over its nuclear effort.

Obama is willing to sign the new measure, according to the White House

“The president would be willing to sign the proposed compromise that is working its way through the committee today,” press secretary Josh Earnest said.
