Defense Secretary Ash Carter and his wife Stephanie are celebrating the holidays by singing “The 12 Days of Christmas” with service members stationed abroad.
{mosads}The Carters kick off the song, which then pans to service members stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as on the U.S.S. Kearsarge
French armed forces members also take part from on board the Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier, which Carter recently visited. They sing the “three French hens” part of the song.
The song closes in Iraq, where two dozen soldiers sing the closing “and a partridge in a pear tree.”
