Manhattans, martinis, and mistletoe — all in the name of veterans.
{mosads}That’s the theme of an upcoming fundraiser this Wednesday hosted by Defend Our Nation, a political action committee geared toward helping veterans run for Congress.
The event, taking place Dec. 7 in Washington, D.C. at the National Museum of Women in the Arts from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., will raise funds for the Green Beret Foundation, Operation Second Chance and United Sailors & Soldiers of America.
Defend Our Nation, led by Donald Bramer, is also expected to honor Medal of Honor recipient Hershel “Woody” Williams with the Three Star Award.
Expected guests include a number of returning and new lawmakers with military experience, including Reps. Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.), Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.), Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.), Martha McSally (R-Ariz.), Joe Wilson (R-S.C.), Ryan Zinke (R-Mont.) and Rep.-elect Brian Mast (R-Fla.).
The event is the third such fundraiser the PAC has held. For more information, go to www.JoinM3.org.
